The Smashing Pumpkins are an alternative rock band, formed in Chicago, Illinois, USA, in 1988. Billy Corgan and James Iha met in a record store, and began performing in local nightclubs with their bassist, D'arcy Wretzky, using a drum machine. Playing with a drum machine frustrated both the band and their audience, and so Chicago jazz drummer Jimmy Chamberlin was hired soon afterwards.
Less influenced by punk than many of their contemporaries, the Pumpkins had a densely layered

Lost Weekend, the solo rock project of Stockholm-based musician Michael Berman, is gearing up to release its electrifying new single, "Lorelei," on May 6th, 2024.
A Blend of Classic and Modern Rock
Originally conceived in 2008, the song has been revitalized with the addition of new verses and a bridge, all recorded in the Lost Weekend home studio. The final mix benefitted from the expertise of acclaimed mixing engineer Fredrik Andersson, with additional contributions from Luke Campolieta at the legendary Patchwerk Recording Studios in Atlanta, Georgia.
Influenced by Rock Legends
Drawing inspiration from The Beatles, Coldplay, and Foo Fighters, "Lorelei" promises a captivating soundscape that will resonate with fans of classic and modern rock alike.
